Free, certified swim lessons for children from low-income families across Central Alberta — held every Sunday at Burman University in Lacombe.
Swimming For All (SFA) is a registered non-profit serving children across Central Alberta. Our program runs every Sunday at Burman University in Lacombe — accessible from Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Ponoka, Innisfail, Blackfalds, and all surrounding communities.
Drowning is one of the leading causes of preventable death in children in Canada. Cost should never stand between a child and that knowledge. In partnership with Burman University and in collaboration with Lacombe & District FCSS, we bring fully certified instruction to the kids who need it most — always free.

Nour Negm founded Swimming For All out of a deep conviction that water safety should never be a privilege. She is a certified Swim Instructor, National Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR-C Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor — holding certifications in Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, Oxygen Administration, and Basic Life Support through the Lifesaving Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
Nour's commitment to her craft goes beyond the pool deck. She has attended the Annual General Meetings of the Lifesaving Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, connecting directly with leaders and experts across the aquatics field to continuously refine the way swimming skills are taught, developed, and made meaningful for every learner.
It is this dedication — to both the science of teaching and the people being taught — that drove Nour to build Swimming For All from the ground up. Her vision is region-wide: no child in Central Alberta should be left out of the water because of their family's income.
Swimming For All runs on the dedication of people who care. Whether you're a certified aquatics professional or simply want to support your community, we'd love to have you on our team.
